Share: IMINDI also makes the interface between Discussions, blogging, and other postings easy with "Link, Url, and Embed" functions. These are simple tools to reference the current Mind Map in any web page or text field in another application or blog. Pasting the "Url" will provide a link to that page of the Discussion. Embedding the link will create a clickable image of the Mind Map which will take the user to IMINDI at that location. This is an efficient way for you to share your top level framework of thoughts on any topic with readers. Settings: IMINDI Settings is where you can enter your username and password, e-mail address, your Open ID account information (a universal access code to web 2.0 applications), and your Del.icio.us or blogging account information if desired. Privacy: IMINDI absolutely supports public, shared, and private Discussions and Notes. You can change the status of any document or map at the bottom of the page. A private Discussion or Note will display the lock symbol. Only public data can be observed by users that have not been invited to share your Discussions or Notes. Private data is not included in the Mindex database. However, we strongly encourage our users to make their non-sensitive data public in order to support the goal of making IMINDI more useful for everyone. Organize Discussions: Clicking on the Discussion title will take you to an administration page which identifies who started or owns that Discussion (if you were invited to a friend's Discussion, for example), and allow you to move it to another Think Tank, archive or cancel (delete) the Discussion. "Archiving" a Discussion removes its title from being visible to you or other users in the IMINDI Space but keeps the data (thoughts). The reason you might want to archive a Discussion is to help organize and clean up your IMINDI Space, often by merging two or more Discussions together so that links between them extend the Discussions into a larger network. You can merge a Discussion into any other by selecting the "Merge into another discussion" link. The resulting dialogue will provide quick picks for which Discussion to merge into. If IMINDI can't find a common thought (link) between the two Discussions you want to merge, you will see a second dialogue asking you to choose which thought or branch you would like to be the link between them. With the Merge and edit functions, you can rearrange your Discussions in any way that makes sense to you. You can create one giant linked network of all of your thoughts, rather like a personal Mindex, or you can keep things organized in useful compartments. This is the beta version of IMINDI. You can look forward to more functionality and exciting new features in the near future as we learn more about how the Thought Engine is growing. But don't forget, we need YOU to enter your thoughts into IMINDI to make it more powerful for everybody. IMINDI is not a spectator sport. Jump in! Think! And invite your friends. Collect your thoughts. Expand your mind.
